Questions?
Rather than reading the answer to your question on a computer screen, why not ask David and Elizabeth personally on 01895 546274 or even by popping in to see them at Harefield Opticians, 33 High Street, Harefield, Middlesex, UB9 6BX.
What are your opening hours?
We open Tuesday to Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am - 1pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. However we are delighted to offer out of hours eye-test appointments. Contact us with your requirements.
Where have David Baddeley and his wife Elizabeth been working before starting Harefield Opticians?
They were partners and lead optometrists at Eye Design, 170 High Street, Ruislip, HA4 8LJ for 17 years.
Can my records be transferred over?
Yes, under the Data Protection Act, copies of your records must be given to you, upon your request.
Is there a fee for getting my records?
Yes, normally between £10 and £50. No more than that, however. If you wish, Harefield Opticians can help facilitate this transfer.
Is it necessary to transfer my records?
If you have an uncomplicated eye history then come and have your eye-test here first. If we feel the need then we will advise you to get your records transferred.
What is an optometrist?
An optometrist is the highest level of optician and as the name implies "measure eyes".
How often should I have my eyes tested?
Bearing in mind that most of us go to dentist twice a year we advise an annual eye-test. Are teeth more precious than eyes?
Why do contact lens wearers have to join Platinum Plan?
You will be required to join PLATINUM HO~ME plan if you are a contact lens wearer, as the fee includes all your various eye checks. The fee is £9.50 monthly payable by Direct Debit. This is our highest level of care and the discount you then get is a substantial 25% all goods (spectacles, contact lenses and accessories). Included is a full annual eye-test, all your scheduled contact lens checks and any emergency visits.
By separating the fees for our professional times, experience and skill, we can then supply our optical goods at a very competitive discount so we can compete with other contact lens suppliers that do not have our professional overheads. Indeed you are welcome to buy your contact lenses direct from supermarkets or the web. We will facilitate this if you wish.
How does one spell Baddeley?
It is not David Bradley, David Badeley, David Baddley, David Badderley or even David Badly (as opposed to Goodly). It is Baddeley.
